Dear Students, dear guardians!

Soon you will have to make an important decision about your future school- or job carreer!

Therefore I want to give you information about our bilingual „Fachmittelschulklasse DLPC“ and what you will need for an application:

Our bilingual FMS class is officially a class of the FMS 1180, Schopenhauerstraße. 4 days a week the students have lessons in our school (obligatory subjects) and once a week they will go to Schopenhauerstraße to attend the praxis orientated subjects (for more information see the attached sheet) where they can choose 4 from 8 practical orientated areas. The lessons in the Krim will be bilingual with Native Speaker teacher. In the end they will get a bilingual report card (Fachmittelschulzeugnis), that may open doors to an application at a higher school (ORG, BHS, BMS) or for a job. Besides the practical orientated areas the students will have 2 lessons of „Berufsorientierung“ a week and 2 weeks for job experiences (Berufspraktische Tage).

Who could the DLPC class fit for?

Ø  For students who need a 9th school year to apply for an apprentice ship.

Ø  For students who will fail to apply at a higher school like BHS (HAK,HTL,…), BMS (HASCH, Fachschulen) or ORG because of bad grades and need an additional year to improve their grades.

Ø  For those of you, who don’t know yet what they would like to become later – school or apprentice ship? – and need an additional year of orientation.

The application has to be done in the 2 week after the Semesterferien, like in all schools, this year from February, 9th to 20th 2015 at the FMS 1180, Schopenhauerstraße 81 at Hr. Dir. Burda.

Orientation talk: February, 23rd 2015

For the application you will need:

Ø  Report card

Ø  Registration form

Ø  Certificate of citizen ship

Ø  e-card

Ø  Application form (will be give to you in January)

For the application for the DLPC class you will need a positive report card and an orientation talk. ( there will maybe be no orientation talk necessary for students of a bilingual class ).

We can also be your „Plan B“! Which means, in case you want to apply at a higher school and are not sure if they will take you, we suggest you to apply for the DLPC class as well! Then you will be on our „waiting list“ untill you can tell us, if the higher school takes you or not at the end of March. In case of a positive answer from your other school we kindly ask you to inform us as well, that an other student can get your place in the DLPC! Thank you!
