Dear Parent/Carer,

Our Year 3 Topic for Spring Term is Cultural Diversity. We will introduce the topic with atwo night stay atAlfrey Centre, Broadwater, a Scouts Official campsite. It is situated in the heart of the countryside in Warwickshire. The 6 acres site consists of open fields, comfortable and secure accommodation and a small section of woodland.

Our adventure includes:

  • Spending two nights in a secure log cabin with our friends and our teachers.
  • Completing exciting activities including rock climbing and crate stacking with a qualified activities Instructor.
  • Developing team building skills through the following activities, team obstacle course and orienteering.
  • Participating in a variety of music and dance workshops including African drumming and dancing.
  • Evening Carnival around a safely campfire.
  • Cooking food from around the world.

Our Schedule:

  • The children will leave at 9am on Wednesday 2nd April and return to school on Friday 4th April 2014.
  • Children will be supervised by their teachers at all times in this secure centre.
  • Children will spend their time working together and having fun.
  • Children will need a small bag, see the attached packing list, and also a packed lunch for the first day. If your child is entitled to Free School Meals, school will provide your child with a packed lunch.
  • Children will need suitable outdoor clothing on the day and appropriate footwear either wellington boots or old trainers.

If you would like your child to take part in this wonderful opportunity please fill in the slip below and return to the school as soon as possible, as places are limited.

Broadwater Residential Centre Permission Form
