DEEP DOCTRINE

Weight Watchers weigh their blessings.

“Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abomination to the LORD.”

The Blessing: “And when he had received meat, he was strengthened.”

The Weights: “But meat commendeth us not to God:

for neither, if we eat, are we the better;

neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.

But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours

become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.”

“But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat,

now walkest thou not charitably.

Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.”

The Scale: “Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace,

and things wherewith one may edify another.

For meat destroy not the work of God.

All things indeed are pure;

but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.

It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing

whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God.”

The Reading: “a wise man’s heart discerneth both time and judgment.”

“Discern, I pray thee”

“came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?”

Shouldn’t we promote learning deep doctrine, even if we seem to judge those who do not learn it ?

“This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded,

Gather of it every man according to his eating”

Doesn’t everyone need to learn the deep doctrines to become more like Jesus ?

“And they shall not teach every man his neighbour,

and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord:

for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness,

and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.”

All the good that I have is from Him. For I am evil.

I beseech you with all the good that I have within me.

II Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:

for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:

and he will show you things to come.

Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith:

for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

I Corinthians 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge;

and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

Romans 14:13-22 13Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather,

that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.

14I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself:

but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

15But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably.

Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died. 16Let not then your good be evil spoken of:

17For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

18For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.

19Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

20For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.

21It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine,

nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

Do NOT teach any thing as sound doctrine that you have not been, personally, taught by His Spirit.

22Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God.

You need NOT teach every thing that you have been, personally, taught by Him.

“But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

Have you sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word ? You can, in the Spirit, by following His guiding hand.

If you teach that each should follow the leading of the Holy Spirit,

have you not taught that good part which shall not be taken away ? Go. Teach.

I Thessalonians 4:9-12

9But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

10And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more;

11And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

12That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

II Timothy 2:14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord

that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.

I John 3:14(part) He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer:

and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

I John 4:20-21 20If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar:

for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

21And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

Ecclesiastes 2:24 There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink,

and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour.

This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God.

Philippians 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded:

and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
