Welcome to WhitehillsPrimary School Parent Council (WPC) Newsletter.

The latest Parent Council (WPC) meeting was held on 16th January 2012, and I would like to remind all parents that you are more than welcome to attend our meetings or ask for any issue to be discussed. If you would like to attend, please inform either Mrs Low at the school reception or any member of the parent council.

A tear off slip is attached to the rear of this newsletter, should you have any comments or suggestions for the attention of the Parent Council, please complete and return to the school who shall forward to the committee.

FORTHCOMING DATES

Just to remind you that the schools are off on the following dates

7th May

28th May 2012

5th June 2012 to honour the Queens Diamond Jubilee.

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE – forthcoming events

27.04.12 - Bingo tea to be held within the school. You should have received a note asking for intimation of interest and all are welcome. This is usually a very popular and fun evening for adults and children alike.

18.05.12 - A sponsored ‘Olympics’ is due to take place during the day of 18th May2011 and parents are more than welcome to come along and cheer on the participants, fuller details will be sent out in due course.

TRAVEL COMMITTEE

DROP OFF POINT

Please remember that the drop off point is for dropping off only and not for parking.In the interests of safety, parents are again reminded not to congregate on the path at the gate entrance as this continues to cause congestion. If you do wait for your child, please enter the playground area, thus freeing up the pavement.

CAR PARK

If you park within the car park please endeavour to reverse into a space as this is good practice and helps ensure the safety of pedestrians.

ONE WAY SYSTEM

Please remember that the School car park has a one way system in place and this should be followed at all times
