Conceptual Feedback Activity

Scenario #1

….your skills related to team development are so noticeable. Functional teams provide the accountable structure for all of our implementation activities. As I meet with district teams, they consistently point to your commitment and leadership skills in getting the right people to the table and in keeping folks engaged during even the most difficult and frustrating times. When I was connecting with a district team last week, they were very appreciative of your help in creating communication protocols with their leadership team and individual schools. We all know how critical effective communication is up and down the system and that district teams play a critical role in linking practice and policy. The district teams appreciate your consistent effort to be sure that their voices were heard during all planning efforts. As you consider your ongoing role in developing teams, what additional support might you need? What are some right next steps?

Scenario #2

….your leadership related to stakeholder co-creation is so noticeable. As I meet with groups and individuals, they consistently point to your commitment and leadership skills in getting the right people to the table and in keeping folks engaged during even the most difficult and frustrating times. When I was connecting with the Intervention Team, they were very appreciative of your calls to them before meetings to express how important they were to the effort and to provide anticipatory guidance. They also appreciated your consistent effort to be sure that their voices were consistently heard. The administrator team and teachers were so enthusiastic about your ability to keep the processes moving forward with the result that strong practices got moved to action rather quickly. People like to be well-used and you have helped put all the talent at this building to its best use. People stay engaged and committed when they are making a contribution that matters. With that kind of engagement and co-creation work, change that benefits students, teachers, and their families is much more likely to happen.
