The SAP Coordinatorwill be joining the Wheaton SAP Team responsible for first line support in SAP and SAP BW, User documentation, and Business requirements. The SAP Coordinator will also manage resources on next level support and all aspect of the projects such as scheduling, project planning and budget.

To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, and/or business, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years experience in an Information Technology systems analysis function, working with end-users to translate business requirements into systems specifications for SAP Ecc 6.0
  • SAP or industry functional certifications a plus.
  • 2-4 years of Project Management experience.
  • PMP is a plus

Just as important as your experience and skills will be the following characteristics and competencies:

  • Knowledge and experience with multiple SAP modules; such as SD, MM, FI/CO, WM and PP
  • Ability to perform hands on configuration in SAP Modules.
  • Must have very strong communication skills - verbal and writing
  • Ability to coordinate project and make sure they are coming in on time and on budget
  • Solid understanding of IT Project Management principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing industry and business principles.
  • Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong Focus on Process Management
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability and flexibility to quickly learn new technologies and skills quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to work with teams or independently
  • Experienced in leading / project managing specific pieces of work, people and/or deliverables

The Role:

Reporting to the VP of IT the main activities & results will include:

  • Responsible for managing all SAP releated helpdesk tickets within all SAP modules
  • Responsible for determaining if a support ticket is a project or a Produciton issue and esculate as needed
  • Identifies opportunities for process and procedure enhancements to drive efficiency and customer service levels
  • Manages all aspects of the project execution including scope definition, requirements gathering, project planning, change control and reporting
  • Responsible to define all business requirements
  • Act as the liason between the Business and SAP Support Team
  • Taking the initiative to implement IT projects
  • Facilitates and manages resource planning, cost estimation and cost control
  • Ensures consistency and adherence to standards, processes, and policies for all projects.
  • Plans and executes project communications ensuring timely and accurate distribution of information, documentation, and issue resolution to all appropriate team members.
  • Updates leadership on project/activity status.
  • Regularly interacts with colleagues or customers generally up to senior level leadership.
  • Simplifies difficult concepts for non-technical users.
  • Operates all equipment in a safe and professional manner, while completing tasks on a timely basis.
  • Keeps work area clean and well organized and assists in keeping entire facility in the same condition.
  • Works within the guidelines of ISO and EHS.
  • Other duties as assigned.
