(All Fridays) / All / Parents and staff will run activities involving a theme students selected. Student academic expectations increase each quarter starting with students having grades higher than an F first quarter to students earning C’s and higher third quarter. / ATP
Family Science Night / 3,6 / Feb. 4 / 7 / All school science fair. 6th, 7th and 8th graders are eligible to participate, community judges, Pacific Science Center & MESA is available to judge during the day. Awards for boards will be posted for parents in the evening. / Science Teachers

Chosen students will be recognized through the newsletter, bulletin, and Stevens on site t.v. / Riggs
Conferences for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students / 1, 2 / November 12-15 and March 18-12 / All / Teachers will work with students to personally invite parents to conferences. Students will share their progress with parents with guidance from teachers. Cinco de mayo / May 5 / All / Jalapeno eating, grito contests, and Spanish music are just part of the celebration for students during their lunch. Loteria (Mexican Bingo) is available for interested students to play. / All
5th Grade Visitation / 2 / June / All / Counselors will visit feeder schools prior to visitation with a Steven’s video. Natural helpers assist with showing students around the school / Counselors

Tiger Paws / 2 / Ongoing / All / Stevens staff will identify students who are doing their best, solving problems, showing respect, making good decisions, and helping others. Students will receive a tiger paw slip and it will go into a daily drawing for prizes. Tiger Paw slips will be submitted to the office. / All
