What Is View, Print, or Save Your Pay Advice?

View, print, or save your pay advice is a feature under Employee Self Service (ESS) within SHARE that enables employees to now view, print, or save copies of their Pay Advices. ESS gives you secure password-protected access to view and print a copy of your Pay Advicesissued from January 1, 2016 and thereafter.

Who Can View, Print, or Save Copies of Their Pay Advices?

All employees who are active, on a paid leave of absence, or on an unpaid leave of absence in SHARE may print their Pay Advices. Terminated or retired employees will not be able to print copies of their past Pay Advices. However, your former HR Mgr/Admin can perform this function for you if your status is terminated, or retired.

How Soon Will Pay Advices for the Current Payroll Period Be Available For Viewing & Printing?

Pay Advices for the current payroll period will be available for viewing and printing early Friday morning of each pay date. For state holidays that fall on a Friday pay date, you will be able to view and print your pay advice the day before.

How Long Will My Pay Advices Be Available For Viewing & Printing?

Your pay advices will appear in sequential order by date in “My Paycheck” and will be accessible to you for viewing and printing indefinitely—as long as your HR status is active, on a paid leave of absence, or on an unpaid leave of absence in SHARE. You will be notified well in advance if this policy is ever changed in the future.

Will Pay AdvicesFrom Previous Pay Periods Be Available?

Only Pay Advices issued in calendar year 2016 and thereafter will be available for employees to view and print. Pay Advices issued prior to 2016 will need to be reprinted by your local HR Mgr/Adm.

I Prefer To Download My Pay Advices As a PDF File And Save It To My Personal Computer. Can I Do This?

Yes. At any time you can save your pay advice as a PDF file on your personal computer so that you can view, or print it without being connected to the Internet. You can also email your saved PDF pay advice if the computer you are using has email enabled.

How Secure Is Pay Advice Viewing & Printing?

The ability to view and print Pay Advices by employees incorporates the same security protocol that forms the foundation of the SHARE system. It’s important that employees use strong passwords that are difficult to guess, and that the employee does not share his/her password with others. Be sure to retrieve your printed advice as quickly as possible, especially if you are printing to a shared printer.

Employees should never share their password with others, and it is a violation of State policy to do so.

Can I Access “My Paycheck” From Any Computer?

Yes, as long as you are able to log onto the computer you are using, and the computer is connected to the Internet and a printer. However, access via Smartphone, Tablet, or Web Browsers other than Internet Explorer may not be supported.

What If I Don’t Have Access To A Computer Or The Internet?

Your pay advices will still be available for viewing and printing even if you don’t have access to a computer/printer or the Internet. You can print your Pay Advice from an available state computer/printer for which you have access rights. You also may be able to use a computer and get Internet access at a library.

You may be able to use the Change My Password link to change your own password. Please contact your HR Mgr/Adm for further assistance.If needed, theHR Mgr/Admwill assist in the process of submitting a HelpDesk ticket for help.
