USW Student Blogger Application

What is the role of a USW Student Blogger?

On a weekly basis USW Bloggers blog and vlog about their experiences, in addition to uploading images to Facebook, Tumblr and Twitter, whilst incorporating other popular social media. As a focal point of your campus, USW Bloggers will also represent USW at high profile events on and off campus (Such as Open Days).

You are encouraged to explore the blogs, vlogs and the social media of our current USW Bloggers at http://www.southwales.ac.uk/student-life/student-blogs/

How can you benefit?

Each year the USW Bloggers scheme selects a handful of students to represent the +30,000 strong student community of the University of South Wales. The scheme provides these few with a platform to showcase their achievements both within and outside of the lecture theatre.

Reaching both a domestic and international audience, the student bloggers are able to raise their profile within their selected profession and use their time within the scheme to piece together a working portfolio which can be presented to prospective employers.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to share their university experiences with prospective students, earn a regular income and enhance their CV with vital employability skills. Moreover, this is your chance to give back to your University.

Each blogger will receive a monthly retainer in addition to an hourly student ambassador rate for marketing and recruitment activity undertaken at other on or off campus events.

Can I apply?

To ensure that the activity undertaken by the bloggers will integrate with the University’s wider student recruitment campaigns, we are looking to recruit students to begin the blogger roles in July 2017 and finish in July 2018.
