What Is a Lions Club

What is a Lions Club?

We Serve –

Nearly 1.4 million members in over 46,000 Lions Clubs in over 208 countries and geographic areas answer the needs that challenge the communities of the world. Lions tackle tough problems like blindness, disaster relief, diabetes awareness, sight & hearing services, environmental issues and much more.

We are Global Neighbors –

Lions members - men and women - provide immediate and sustained relief in time of disaster and offer long-term assistance to those in need. Lions collect and recycle eyeglasses for distribution in developing countries and treat millions of people to prevent river blindness.

We are Community Leaders –

Lions develop & apply leadership and organization skills as they improve the quality of life in their local communities by building parks, supporting hospitals, supporting youth education and recreation programs, and countless other community-improvement projects.

For over 90 years, whenever there is a need at home or around the world, Lions Club members are there to help – Together We Serve!

Who can join?

All people, male or female, 18 years of age or older, who are dedicated to improving the quality of life in communities locally and worldwide, while developing & sharing personal leadership and organization skills.
