Business Plan

What is a Business Plan ?

The primary value of your business plan will be to create a written outline that evaluates all aspects of the economic viability of your business venture including a desscription and analysis of your business prospects.

What to avoid in your business plan ?

_ Place some reasonable limits on long-term (means over one year), future projections. Better than to stick with short-term objectives and modify the plan as your business pregresses. Too often, long-range planning becomes meaningless because the reality of your business can be different from your initial concept.

_ Avoid optimism. In fact, to offset optimism,be extremely conservative in predicting capital requirements, timelines, sales and profits. Fez business palns correctly anticipate how much money and time will be required.

_ Do not ignore spelling out what your strategies will be in the event of business adversities.

_ Use simple language in explaining the issues. Make it easy to read and understand.

_ Don’t depend entirely on the uniqueness of your business or even a patented invention. Success comes to those who start businesses with great economics and not necessarily great inventions.

A Traditional Flavour

1/ A vision statement:

Business Plan is an idea which has been beginning to take shape in my mind long time ago. But untill now, I have chance to realise my plan at the moment of finish my licence of management. I would like to open a restaurant in Paris where I will present the speacial flavours of my country – a total diffirence in taste from the European dishes. With the name of the restaurant is “Oriental Flavour”, it will be attractive to our clients to come and to discover the orieantal meals in my restaurant.

2/ The people:

I have plan to start my business with my two friends who have known me for years and have experiences in this section. We have a same idea of business and we are motivated to carry out this project. Each of us, we have different proficiencies to gather in a group of business. Beside our experience of working in some resraurants, the first friend who stutied in marketing, the second who was in humain resources and financial management. So they can take care the financial management, human management, marketing and the budget of group. I studied in international management and obtained a two-year diplome of accountancy; . Moreover, we have an unify in decision to adapt ourself to overcome the beginning circumstances. With our passion of business and the potential capacity of the young ages, we will be able to lead our business plan on the way that we are quite willing to.

Further, for the human, we will hire about eight employees: two cookers, two assistants for the cookers, three waiters and one bar-man who serve drink.

3/ Business profile:

We are going to open our restaurant in the 13th district in Paris where gather many business centers of the Asians and become a place that attract the European to come to buy goods, to eat or drink the speacial flavour of Asia vendors. In front of the restaurant which is decorated with the neon light “Traditional Flavour”, we put two stone dragons on two sides of the door. And the front wall will be constructed by bamboo and palm which give our clients an image of the extreme oriental regions. With a surface is enough for about 250 place at the same moment, we serve our clients with the recipes of the traditional Asian countries in menu of meals and drink.Having the markets of the Asians there is convenient for us to prepare easily our menu. The meals with the flavours of Japanese, Chinese, Indian and Vietnamese will give our clients a discovery taste and the speacial wine and soft drink from these countries is our attractions too. The menu is estimated about 15 – 20 Euro for each person. Our aim is to have clients in many sections and classes. So our restaurant will open from 13h to 24h, from Monday to Friday, and from 10h – 24h for Saturday and Sunday. Weekend is an occasion for the family go out and eat together, we will have “menu of today” which is different from the other days to give an impression to our clients. Beside the decoratings inside the restaurant with the tendency of Asia, our clients will be merged into the traditional oriental musics played gently.

4/ Economic assessment:

Base on the knowledge of consumtion that we decided to carry out our business to open a restaurant. Nowaday, there are many people come from the different countries to work and live in Paris. They have their own culture and they meet the life-style harmonisation between them. Almost of them are in the working-age, so they have needs to spend and to come in for their lives. Enjoying foods is also an interesting caracter of us. So they want to have occasion to taste the meals from the other country to discover another culture on the land where they are living. More, we have taken a look at the purchasing behaviour of French and found that they are curious to discover the foreign meals. We believe that the attraction of Sushi ( Japanese); Tofu ( Chinese); Nem giò, C*m rang ( Vi*t Nam), Kim Chi ( Korea);... will give our clients unforgetable flavour and they will pull their friends, their famaly to taste for the next times.

5/ Cash flow assessment:

For our business plan, we estimated a round sum of 600.000 Euro. We have our own saving sum of about 300.000 Euro. This sum was saved in our working time before. We will demand our banks to give us a loan of 300.000 Euro within four years. For the four first year, we hope to obtain our capital together with the monthly payment for employees, rent place and supplementary fee.

6/ The marketing plan and expansion plan:

For the marketing plan, the beginning days, we will advertise our business on some public journal, espeacially on the food journal, the kitchet hebdomadaire and the consumption magazine. We also notice about our restaurant at the public place and give piece of advertising to the tourist agency to attract the tourists. Beyond, we will give our clients offers and speacial menus in the beginning days or the occasion days that we think will make an impression in our clients’ mind./.
