We are looking for a strong Training, Admin & HR Managerfor our Florence, AL location to drive the hourly recruiting process for two side-by-side warehouse facilities; develop and implement training programs for hourly warehouse staff and lead the implementation and management of human resources programs and activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Distribution Center or Manufacturing environment.

Requirements are listed below:

Training

  • Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for hourly warehouse employees.
  • Design, develop and implement hourly warehouse employee new hire orientation and OJT training program.
  • Train and coach Supervisors on how to execute new hire orientation and OJT training program.
  • Monitor Supervisor follow through on new hire and safety training requirements.
  • Establish metrics and procedural audits to monitor new hire performance.
  • Seeks out grant opportunities to fund additional training; coordinates with outside resources as needed.

Human Resources

  • Manage the hourly recruiting and staffing process including, but not limited to:
  • Working closely with Warehouse Director to understand on-going and variable staffing requirements.
  • Developing and improving upon recruiting strategies to increase applicant flow and achieve staffing requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
  • Partner with facility management on strategies and initiatives to improve employee attendance, reduce turnover and enhance productivity.
  • Ensure Company policies and procedures are communicated and followed.
  • Coach supervisors and managers on handling employee issues.
  • Direct the activities of one HR Generalist.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of overall experience in a Training and HR/staffing role
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Experience managing hourly recruiting
  • Experience developing SOPs and/or training materials
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information to large groups and communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Must be deadline conscious and detail oriented with the ability to self-direct priorities.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office; previous HRIS experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or similar disciple; PHR certification preferred
