While the temperatures were wonderful the wind made the targets very challenging today. 72 shooters came out to White Gates with Glen Oak winning by 6.5 birds. St Charles came in second with Oak Park in 3rd and Medinah only 1 bird behind them. Three shooters shot perfect 50’s and another seven shooters were able to run 25 straight. Through three shoots Glen Oak has a comfortable 5 bird lead over White Gates with Medinah 10 birds back and Oak Park trailing by 12.5 targets.
Brendan Durkin and Michael McLaughlin led Glen Oak with perfect scores. The Bartel family made the leaderboard in their first shoot of the year. Pat and Adam both ran 25 straight in their second round to finish with a 48 and 47.5 respectively. Al Forst dropped a bird on each field and Mark Gadbois and Ross Weigand rounded out the Glen Oak leaderboard with net 47.5’s. It may be impossible to catch this team with 2 of the final 4 shoots on their home field.

20 shooters from White Gates came out and scored their team a second place finish. Some familiar names led the squad with Jeff Moecher and Bob Olsen continuing their great shooting with 25’s today and leading the way with 48’s. Jim Gilman had a 25 in his first round and posted a 47 along with Mike Skatsky and Lynn Snow. Our hosts did a fantastic job, as always.

Oak Park finished 5 birds behind White gates. Jay Hutchinson ran his 50 straight to lead the team. Kent Kirk ran a 25 but struggled in his second round and finished with a 46. Dan Browne and Mike Yungerman posted net 45.5’ and Mike Graham and Dan Lupiani both put up a net 45. What happened to the number of shooters that usually show up from Oak Park?

Medinah finished one bird behind OP and remain in 3rd for the season. A team of B shooters filled the leaderboard for Medinah today. Bill Berry and Eugene Carpino led the team and Andy Ho, Bernie Galvin and Bob Novelle all scored.

The next CCSL shoot is Saturday, January 31at Glen Oak. Don’t forget, you can reserve a shoot time by contacting Al Forst at (708) 344-7900 or email at beginning Monday of the week of the shoot. Members must register, in person, on shoot day, at least 30 minutes prior to their assigned time or their position in the squad can be reassigned to a later squad. If the squads are running ahead of schedule, you will be reassigned if you're not signed in by the time the squads switch fields. In any event, you must be registered by 2:30 P.M. in order to be guaranteed an opportunity to shoot. Please remember this is being done in an effort to keep our shoots moving quickly and eliminate long waits.
