Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program
Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants are pleased to be able to continue with our scholarship program for the 6th year.
We will be awarding up to $1,000 to the winner(s) each year.

TEXAS ENGINEERING FOUNDATION
2012-2013 Scholarship Application
for Graduating TexasHigh School Seniors
Application deadline is January 10, 2014
The chapters of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) in affiliation with Texas Engineering Foundation (TEF) will award several scholarships to students studying to become engineers in an engineering program at an ABET-accredited (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) college or university. Upon verification of enrollment, these scholarships will be presented to the university in the student’s name. As individual chapter scholarship requirements may vary, it is essential to contact your Chapter Scholarship Coordinator for complete application requirements (see attached lists for chapter assignments and Chapter Coordinators). Unless otherwise instructed by your scholarship coordinator, applications must be submitted to her or him on or before the date specified below.
The application consists of seven (7) sections. Please complete each section according to the instructions of your Chapter Scholarship Coordinator.
To be eligible for a TSPE Chapter Scholarship a student must (unless a chapter establishes different criteria):
-Be a United States citizen
-Be a high school senior with a 3.0 or higher GPA entering college in 2012
-Have scored at least a 600 in math, a 550 in critical reading and a 500 in writing on the SAT, or a 29 in math and a 25 in English on the ACT
-Enroll in an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited engineering program. (Visit to obtain a complete listing)
-Provide a completed Scholarship Application with all required attachments postmarked or delivered by January 10, 2014
Additional Considerations:
-Students may be required to participate in an in-person interview
-Ask your Chapter Scholarship Coordinator if there are any other requirements
Instructions for submitting an application:
-Complete the Scholarship Application form (attached)
-Secure and attach all required components of the application
-Mail or otherwise deliver the entire application (including all components) to your Chapter Scholarship Coordinator. (Incomplete application packets will not be considered)
Assemble the application in the following order:

-Two recommendations from non-relatives (high school teachers preferred)
-Official transcript(s); no photocopies will be accepted; a school counselor must verify current courses
