Dear Parent/Carer,

Parent-Teacher interviews (PTI’s) will be held on the following dates from 3:30 – 7:30pm with each session lasting 10 minutes:

Tuesday 24th January 2017

Wednesday 25th January 2017

Thursday 26th January 2017

Wewill be using an internet-based booking system called Parent Teacher On-Line (PTO).

Using this system you will be able to book the interview times that suit you best from any internet-connected mobile device. Each teacher will be doing two nights out of a possible 3. You will be able to book your appointment from Wednesday 21st December after 5pm when the system goes live.

You may access the PTO system as follows:

  • Go to the school’s home page on the John Ball website
  • Click the PTO website link which will re direct you to their site
  • To the right of the screen you will see ‘Click Obtain PIN/Password’. Enter your email address and your login details will then be emailed to you. (This will be the email address you have registered with the school).
  • You can also download the App for Android via Google or I-Phone via The App Store and use the PTO system from your device.
  • After you have received your login details via e-mail you can access the PTO website and login on the left hand side with your details. Or, login using the App. Please use the code 6mesj to choose John Ball as the school.

Full instructions of how to book your appointment are provided to you after log in.

If you try to login and the PTO system won’t allow you to, this means your email address is either incorrect on our system OR we don’t have an email address for you at all. Please contact the school officeafter 4thJanuary when we return so that we can update our system which will enable you to book your appointment through the PTO system.

Please note the following points:

  • When you log on, the system will display only your own child/children.
  • You will only see time slots that are availableand have not been already booked.
  • When you have made all the bookings you require, you can download or email a report of your bookings in chronological order for printing.
  • Other parents may be making bookings at the same time that you are using the system. It is possible, though unlikely, that a time slot is displayed to you as available, but is then subsequently allocated to another parent. If you then attempt to book this time slot, it will not be available and a message will be displayed to indicate this.

The following staff members are also available should you wish to book an appointment to discuss their special area of Music, Dance and Modern Foreign Languages.

  • Mick Davis – Music Teacher – teaches year 1 upwards
  • Laura Joyes – Dance Teacher – teaches year 1 upwards
  • Joanne Deane – Foreign Languages – teaches year 2 upwards

If you encounter any problems using PTO please contact the main school office from 5th January.
