Westow Parish Council Meeting – Wednesday 15th November 2017 – 7.30pm - Village Hall

Apologies Susan Graham (SG)

In SG’s absence it was agreed that RG stand in as Chair for the meeting.

The minutes from September’s meeting were proposed by NJ and seconded by MS as a correct record.

Matters Arising

The website was about up and running it was agreed that for the time being Pennie Hamer would act as the Adminstrator for the website and after discussion it was agreed that the Minutes from the 1st April 2017 would be downloaded onto the website along with the accounts for the 2016 year . PH to contact Gary from Computer FX re the new password for the email.

Clerks Update

AF had provisionally arranged the dates for the 2018 meetings which are as follows:_

10th January

7th March

9th May

11th July

12th September

14th November

Budget

AF had received an email from RDC regarding the Precept which she had forwarded on to RG, RG had suggested the at the precept stay the same as last year and this was agreed by the Council. RG/AF to complete form and return to RDC by the 6th January 2018.

Planning Applications

Mr J Lambert – Westfield Farm Low Lane Westow, erection of a 3 bedroomed Agricultural Workers Dwelling

After discussion it was agreed that the Council reply to RDC with their reservations regarding the application ie concern re the type of brick to be used, the depth of the roof and the fact that it looked rather suburban in appearance.

Mr P Dibbs North Wing Firby Hall – Demolition of existing boundary wall, fence and access gates including gate posts and erection of stone walling posts and painted timber pedestrian and vehicular gates

After discussion it was agreed that RG would go to Firby and have a look at the proposed application for the above himself and then contact Emma Woodland Conservation Officer for further information regarding the application he would then email the councillors with his findings before replying to RDC with the council’s comments

RG said that a Map had been received showing the new bridleway, the Extinguishment Order for the existing bridleway had been made on the 2nd October . The map had been placed on the Noticeboard.
