This course will utilize video lecture, readings, PowerPoint, and hands on application.
Grading Procedures and Evaluation Methods:
All graded assignments will be returned to you within 72 hours of the due date. If circumstances prevent this time frame from being met you will be notified of when you can expect grading to complete.
Letter grades will be assigned using the following scale.
94-100 A 79-86 C 0-72 F
87-93 B 73-78 D
Grades will be determined by translating points earned on assignments and projects into percentages. Point values are listed below.

Standards for assignments:30-25 Points / All questions answered/activities completed thoroughly. Understanding is demonstrated.
15-21 Points / All questions answered/activities completed but not thoroughly and/or not all questions answered/activities completed but those completed meet the above standard.
1-14 Points / Some questions answered/activities completed but work is substandard.

BM&M Program Attendance Policy:
The BM&M Program’s attendance policy is to assist students in acquiring the knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary for successful employment. Therefore, attendance is important in classes and will be taken on a daily basis. The number of absences allowed for students will be as follows:
In classes that meet five days a week, students will be allowed 8 absences.
Once a student exceeds the number of absences in a class, his/her grade will be lowered 5% at the end of the semester.
MAKE-UP POLICY:
Assignments are due when stated. Late assignments will not be accepted unless prior arrangements are made. Students that miss class are responsible for obtaining any assignments before the next class day. Only one test may be made-up during the semester and must be completed with 5 days of the original testing date.

ACADEMIC DISHONESTY:
You are expected to do your own work on the Quizzes and Assessments. If you hand in assignments
that have match errors of work and typos indicating that file sharing has taken place you and your
classmate will receive zeros for that assignment for the first offense. The second offense will
result in an F grade in the course.

Resource Center, school counseling services, and peer tutors at no charge to you.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The primary focus of the class will be on Expert Proficiencies in word processing and spreadsheets software. The class is designed to meet all the required skills needed to take The Microsoft Office User Specialist Expert Exams in word processing and spreadsheet software. The curriculum will also cover additional windows based programs and computer operations.
