·  Legal Opinion on Covenant Meetings (Retraction Letter from April VM Meeting)

Joaquin read a paragraph from the original legal opinion given to the association in 2009 regarding the sequestration of owners at the covenant meetings. At the April training session of the VM’s, an error was made in a statement to the VM’s regarding the Covenant Committee Hearings being open to the public. A retraction letter was given to Westchase by Jon Ellis at Shumaker Loop & Kendrick correcting his prior statement, and further stating that the Covenant Meetings CAN be closed.

·  Cost of Mailboxes by Creative Mailboxes

Gerald Pappa brought to the attention of the VM’s a problem he had with a price quote that was given to him by Creative Mailboxes – discussion was held amongst the members. As a result, it was decided to have the board president and the association management to meet and discuss with a representative of Creative Mailboxes the issues surrounding replacement costs of mailbox parts or in its entirety.
