West Madison Elementary Kindergarten
First Week of School
The beginning of Kindergarten is an exciting time. To help our students adjust to school, Madison City Schools has developed an A/B schedule for the first two days of Kindergarten. Boys will be on the A schedule. They will come to school on,WednesdayAugust 3th. Girls will be on the B schedule. They will come to school on Thursday, August 4th. Beginning Friday, August 5th, all students will assume the regular school schedule.
Kindergarten Pre-Assessment
In order to make the best educational decisions regarding your child's education, all Madison City Schools are requesting all students visit the school over the summer to complete a pre-assessment. This assessment is a valuable tool in developing appropriate lessons for your child.
The test will be given the week of July 18-22 at West Madison Elementary. The results of the assessment will be shared with you at your first conference with your child's teacher. You will be contacted by phone in early-July to schedule your child's assessment.
The test will only take approximately 15 minutes to complete and is given by one of our certified teachers.
