Alltech E-CO2is a leading provider of agri & food chain environmental and carbon footprint assessments. Food retailers, processors and farmers are under more pressure to reduce their environmental footprint across the supply chain and need support in achieving these difficult objectives. At Alltech E-CO2, measurement tools have been pioneered for use on farms to improve understanding of the factors that affect both profitability and environment impact.To date, we have conducted over 6,000 independent, on-farm assessments.
THE ROLE – LIFE CYCLE ASSESSMENT ANALYST
The successful candidate will help to manage the maintenance and development of sustainability and LCA models used by the business to appraise environmental and economic performance of food producers worldwide. Working alongside the Head of Technical Development,the preferred candidate will help to update existing models in line with the latest research and maintain the accreditations that we operate within alongside furthering the knowledge of client facing and on-farm teams within Alltech E-CO2.
The role would suit someone leaving postgraduate studies or someone with a few years’ industry experience, and would provide significant creative freedom to develop tools, calculations and ways of working (in different sectors) meaning the successful candidate can really make their mark.
Theanalyst would be expected to represent the interests of Alltech E-CO2and its customers in academic circles andaddress academic audiences and build up academic links between Alltech E-CO2, the parent company (Alltech) and research institutions.
The role will be based in the UK with time split between the parent company offices in Stamford, Lincolnshire and the company office near Nantwich in Cheshire.Successful applicants will need to be open totravel to relevant meetings both in the UK and overseas as we expand our services into new territories.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal successful candidate will meet the following criteria.
- Master’s degree or higher in an environmental or scientific discipline
- A solid understanding of Life Cycle Assessment
- Superior IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- A commitment to helping generate accurate statistics and reports from our existing software and data collection services
- Experience of project management and consultancy work in any sector would be seen as a plus
- A working knowledge of different means of allocation and footprint approaches
- Experience or an understanding of agriculture would be highly beneficial, although not essential
- Experience or an understanding of market LCA software such as SimaPro or GaBi would be a significant plus
