Agenda
· NC School Report Card
o School Grade
o Explanation (Sample of Report Card from last year)
o Discussion of activities/interventions as outlined in the School Improvement Plan
· WCES local expense needs for 2015-2016 school year
o Next year, UCPS requesting higher teacher supplements and an increase in administrator pay to get to the state average.
o Updating technology equipment
o Help with mClass testing to decrease interruptions to instruction (additional instructional support/personnel)
o Continue with current level of funding for instructional assistants.
o Use any additional available funding for a science lab instead of focusing specifically on globalization. (5th grade students tested in science.)
· Staff Concerns
o Remove broken bench on the 3rd – 5th playground, please.
o Some instructional assistants request that special area teachers, Mr. Thompson (School Counselor), and Mr. Sica (custodian) switch out with assistants on the car rider line on very cold or very rainy days. Dr. Gravely explained that Mr. Sica cannot be assigned to this area as he must be available to handle custodial issues, and he also assists with supervising the front doors to the building during student arrival. The other staff will be advised of this request.
· Parent Concerns
o Updates provided by A. Banks on upcoming PTO projects (Book drive, Valentine’s Day cards for East, playground equipment, Eagle Family Fun Fest – May 15th from 5:30 – 8:00 PM).
