To apply, please providethe documents below along with the Terms & Conditions. Submit all the completed documents to the KC PMI Chapter Mentoring Lead.

☐Brief statement indicating why you want to participate in the Chapter’s mentoring program

  • Time commitment
  • Meeting frequency
  • Prospective locations (restaurants, office, etc)
  • Preferred communication style (email, phone, face-to-face, etc)
  • Any other reasonable and relevant expectations specific to the program

Terms and Conditions

Mentor Agrees to the Following:

☐I agree to participate in a mentoring program for a minimum of12consecutive months to engage in a one-on-one learning relationship aimed at promoting my mentee’s career development.

☐I agree to the following guidelines of participation:

  • A minimum of nine (9) meetings for the 12 month program duration are required.
  • At least four (4) of the meetings – including the initial meeting – will be face-to-face, in order to foster a close relationship and promote an honest and open exchange of ideas.
  • Additional meetings may be conducted via telephone, Skype, etc. Brief e-mail exchanges or joint attendance at Chapter events are considered insufficient interaction to meet the requirements.
  • After each meeting, report to the Chapter Mentoring Lead a summary of what issues were discussed, goals addressed, and/or skills recognized.
  • At the end of the mentoring program period, report to the Chapter Mentoring Lead on the successes and opportunities of the relationship and overall satisfaction with the program.
  • Establish the meeting calendar and ground rules for contact by Mentee, in accordance with the frequency and type outlined above.
  • Provide guidance to Mentee for professional skills development, based upon Mentee’s evolving needs, as well as the initial goals and expectations.
  • Foster open communications with Mentee by offering honest and constructive feedback in a respectful manner.
