Well Done Postcards
There are times when we feel that our pupils have achieved something that needs to be celebrated in a special way. We will do this by sending a postcard home. Well done to Rajveer, Jasraj, Rohini and Keerat who have already received one – have a look out for the postman, one might arrive at any time!
Date Change – Parents Evening
Unfortunately we need to change the date of our Parents Evening. The new date is Monday 23rd November. We will be sending out appointment arrangements after the half term holiday.
Parent Governors
We need to appoint 2 parent governors to our Governing Body. If you are interested please read and complete the attached forms, and return to Mrs Kennedy by Monday 2nd November.
School Holiday Consultations
We are currently looking at our school holidays in relation to the school holidays of the local schools. We are aware that some of our families are finding the difference difficult to manage. Once we have worked out some possible solutions we will consult with you before making any changes. We will keep you fully informed over the coming weeks.
Head Lice
On Wednesday we sent home the official letter regarding Head Lice, both to alert you and to advise on treatment. It is very important that every family is vigilant about this. We need every child to be checked and treated if we are going to get all children clear. All schools have incidences of Head Lice at times, but if we all work together and check, treat and recheck we should be able to remove them from our school.
Reading Books
Each child has been given a reading book which we would like you to share at home with them. Could you please ensure that the book comes back to school each day as we are also reading with your child.
Homework
Each class will be receiving a small homework project to be completed over the half term holiday. The activities have been designed to form part of your normal day. We would appreciate it if you could encourage your child to complete as many of these activities as possible over the 2 weeks. Could we also ask that you regularly share a book with your child over this time.
