Welcome to the Takeover Day competition!
We are really pleased you want to be in the running for the chance to work with the Mayor, Director of People at Milton Keynes Council or the Chief of Milton Keynes Police for Takeover Day on November 18 2016. This opportunity is truly an honour for whoever wins.
Your competition entry will be based on a written statement about what you would do if you were either the Mayor, Council’s Director of People or the Chief of MK police for the day. A box to write this in is included on pages three, four and five of this application. Your statement MUST NOT be over 150 words or it wil be rejected, so remember to double check the word count. All entries must be submitted by midday on 1 November, and the successful candidates will be chosen by the Mayor, Director and Chief Superintendent after they have carefully read the applications.
To enter complete the following:
- Consent form (parent/carer and education provider/work)
- Photo Consent Form
- Written statement (this is what you will be judged)
You also need to:
- Count the number of words in your statement, remember over 150 words will be rejected.
- Return all forms back to Civic Offices, MK Council by the deadline 1 November at midday for your application to be considered.
- Be in secondary school or college or training up to the age of 19.
- Your education provider/work needs to agree for you to have the day off.
- A parent or carer needs to give permission for you to take part.
- Be a resident of the borough of Milton Keynes.
- Choose which role you would like to go for, you can only apply for one.
- Write or type clearly in the box relevant to the post you wish to do.
