LAFON Technologies and its partner IES Synergy
present PULSE QC 50, a connected and universal rapid
electric vehicle charger

at the eCarTec trade fair in Munich

Confident that the presence of a network of rapid charging stations is one of the keys for growth in the electric vehicle market, LAFON and IES Synergy are introducing PULSE QC 50, a universal charging solution that offers many innovations and a unique user experience.

LAFON and IES Synergy will present the new LAFON PULSE QC 50 rapid and universal charging system on October 15, 2013, at the eCarTec fair in Munich.

This new product was designed to meet the top need of electric vehicle users: the presence of a wide network of fast electric recharging terminals that are always operational and compatible with their vehicles.

"Pulse QC 50 is an innovative solution that meets many criteria: universal, it recharges all types of vehicles; connected, it offers many innovative services, such as geolocation, identification and payment by smartphone, and predictive maintenance for greater availability," explains Emmanuel Ourry, CEO of LAFON SAS. "This solution was designed to give electric vehicle users a delightful experience."

An international creator and manufacturer of battery recharging solutions for vehicles of all generations, IES Synergy developed the entire power technology used in PULSE QC 50 for LAFON Technologies.

"PULSE QC 50 offers a concentration of high technology that combines efficiency and usability for the best possible user experience," explains Gil Souviron, Chairman of the Board at IES Synergy. "It is based on a universal technology that recharges all types of electric vehicles, along with innovative connected services and unprecedented ease-of-use."

PULSE QC 50 offers three cables: one for major German brands (Combo); one for major Japanese brands (CHAdeMO); and another for Renault brand vehicles (AC43). This innovative terminal can charge 80% of the batteries in these vehicles in 20 minutes, that is, filling them with over 30 km of autonomy in less than 5 minutes.

Designed for installation in public sites, and any other location desired by electric vehicle users, PULSE QC 50 will be present in downtown areas, commercial zones, parking lots, and on major road arteries.

As with all the other chargers in the LAFON line, PULSE QC 50 offers cloud-connected services via WEB LAFON Pulse, the company's geolocation and smartphone-based reservation solution using QR code identification.

The connection to Cloud Plus ensures a high level of equipment availability by implementing a smart, online monitoring system that includes predictive alarms for maintenance staff. This system also ensures that users can always find an operational terminal, further supporting the growing adoption of electric vehicles.
