Welcome to the Early 3’s Class!

Dear Parents:

The summer is flying by! MS Brooke is doing a great job and the children get along with her very well. Please remember that if you have any questions or concerns you can always contact me via email at . I will continue to check my email DAILY, and I will return any questions or concerns that you may have ASAP.

As a reminder each week of summer we have special activities planned. On Wednesdays we have a Creative Movement class with MS Regina. During this class, the children get to experience hula-hoops, obstacle courses, dance, rhythm sticks and much more! Wednesday afternoons they will get to pick their own flavor of Kona Ice and eat it outside. On Friday its Water Day! Wading pools will be put out along with sprinklers and water toys. Please make sure on this day your child comes to school already in their swim clothes with their sunscreen applied if possible! We head outside immediately following snack. They also need to bring a dry clothes to change into afterwards and a towel. We do not have any extra towels to provide for children at the school.

Since the weather is changing please make sure you fill out a sunscreen form at the front desk and bring in a bottle of sunscreen. Make sure it is NOT spray on. We cannot apply sunscreen that comes from an aerosol can.

As a reminder we are closed on Tuesday, July 4th in observation of Independence Day. We will also be closed on Friday, August 4th for a Teacher Inservice Day.

Please remember that all nap items need to go home at the end of the week and be washed. This helps us prevent the spread of germs and viruses.

We have been having so much fun with the Sand Study. This study allows the children to see how sand is formed in different ways. They also get to see who works with sand and what daily things have sand in them. We get to see different videos of how a Mason works and the interesting sand sculpture contest that are held on the beach. And of course the children get to play in sand in our sand and water table. We love hearing from the children when they tell us where they have seen sand.

We will also continue working on the following academic skills:

●  The color: Review of all colors

●  The shape: Review all shapes

●  The number: 11 & 12

●  Opposites: Review of opposites

●  Letters: Review of the entire alphabet

We will be reviewing all the Bible stories that we have covered during the school year. Our Bible verse will be Psalm 66:19 “But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer”. We are starting a new Bible point, We can be loyal to God and follow Him. It has been such a great year and I hope you are all having a great summer!
