Welcome to the 58th European FEMA Championship for tether model cars in Örebro 28 July – 2 August 2009.

The Swedish Model Racing Union SMRU with organizing clubs MRK Caster and RacerOctan are happy to welcome you to the 2009 European Championships in tether car racing in Örebro. We are happy to see model car racers from most FEMA member countries. Below you might find useful information for your participation. Phone at track is +46 (0)19 241080.

The club members in Sweden are getting old and the resources are not what they have been. Also the economic depression is not a good time to get sponsors. So organisation is a lean budget – personnel effort. But the track is a good facility and the roof of track should insure we have good and fair racing even if we have bad weather – which is not a possibility as we have booked nice weather. Paramount for our racing are good cables and timing equipment and we have given them top priority in preparations. Also food is important for a nice event and as maestro chef Helge is sick we have to resort to food from catering restaurant at nearby airport for lunches and Hotel Scandic West for evening meals. Hopefully those without big cars can lift with those having cars between Scandic and track.

Food and drink.

The little kiosk will be open all day and have drink, koffe, cakes and sausages. Lunch at 12.30 will be in tent and cost is 80 Sw. Crowns or 8€. Drinkin kiosk. Ticket for banquet is 180 Sw. Crowns or 18 €.Tickets for lunch and banquet can be bought in secretariat preferably at arrival so we can calculate the number of eaters each day.

DVD

A DVD film in English will be recorded during the contest by a reputable firm ( old combat flier ) documenting the contest but also describing the hobby so it can be used at fairs and exhibitions. It will be ready for distribution in October this year and you can order the film at secretariat-price 150 Sw. Crowns or 15 €.
