Welcome to Lake Harbor Middle School for a new and exciting 2012-2013 school year!
The LHMS PTA invites you to make a difference in the quality of your child's educational experience as both a PTA member and volunteer. The LHMS PTA encourages you to join the PTA today. As a PTA member, you help to support the many valuable programs that make Lake Harbor such a top school!
As a member of the PTA, your dollars support many programs. In 2012-2013 the PTA plans to support the following programs:
· Major financial support for Cultural Arts Day, including the Young Audiences performances, the Written & Illustrated program, Art Adventure Day, and World Culture Day
· Major financial support for technology, including purchasing educational software and services, Accelerated Reader quiz purchases, World Book Encyclopedia renewal, and computer supplies for every teacher
· Major volunteer support for library, office, and numerous school activities
· Annual teacher mini-grant awards
· Support of monthly LHMS Newsletter, The Beacon
LHMS PTA goals are key for 2012-2013. Our goals are:
· To welcome all LHMS parents and families by providing volunteer opportunities that are fun, valuable, rewarding, and recognized.
· To provide all LHMS families with knowledge and tools to enhance the education and safety of our children.
· To instill a sense of goodwill toward others and to instill acceptance and appreciation of individual differences in our students and families
