Hello Parents and Guardians!
Welcome to fifth grade! We have a very busy and exciting year in store for us! Mrs. Yost will be your child’s Math and Social Studies teacher. Mrs. Wardo will be your child’s ELA and Science teacher.
We realize that teaching your child is a privilege as well as a tremendous responsibility. We will do our best everyday to ensure that each student has a motivating and safe learning experience this school year. We cannot do this alone. We need your help! Parents and teachers need to be partners in the learning process. It is important that you encourage and support your child at home by making sure that he/she completes assignments and is prepared for class.
On the back side of this paper you will find some important information about our classroom. With your help, we are certain that we are going to have a great school year! Water Bottles
Your child is welcome to bring a water bottle to school daily.
Snacks
Since we have an early lunch, your child is welcome to bring a snack for the afternoon to be eaten during the E and I time.
Multiplication Facts
Please start practicing multiplication facts! In order for your child to be successful in math, automaticity with multiplication facts is a must!!
