ECM update

The Management of ECM sitswith Essex Police Media and commsalthoughthe Citizens in Policing Team continue the liaison regard to the NHW side of the System, assisting in problems logging on, and training and support. Wewill also hope to be able to provide information and advice on information I receive about the system and any upgrades etc. Any issues with ECM will be fed to either Jenny or Jeff as part of the Citizens in Policing role to resolve where possible.

ECM members and NHW.

There are currently2133NHW members shown registered on ECM which is an increase of 47 since last report.

On breaking those down to Districts I have managed to get some figures which although may only be 95% accurate they do help to give an idea of the numbers of NHW persons in each District that are on ECM.

NHW District / August 2017 / October 2017 / December 2017 / February 2018
Basildon / / 328 / 337 / 344
Braintree / / 178 / 180 / 178
Brentwood / / 170 / 174 / 185
Castle Point / / 152 / 156 / 156
Chelmsford / / 286 / 292 / 294
Colchester / / 76 / 76 / 76
Epping / / 112 / 114 / 115
Harlow / / 31 / 32 / 33
Maldon / / 69 / 72 / 73
Rochford / / 307 / 310 / 311
Southend / / 291 / 295 / 301
Tendring / / 122 / 122 / 121
Thurrock / / 160 / 161 / 161
Uttlesford / / 134 / 138 / 142

**Although monthly comparison data is correct there’s some duplicate entries and therefore these totals may exceed the total number of NHW members shown on ECM database

The above table shows comparisons in terms of numbers on ECM shown as NHW vs the previous 2 months. Red means they have decreased, green increased and amber – stayed the same.

ECM shows the total numbers on ECM as14,322with new registrations net gain each month, December –94, January 105and February – 60 So numbers are going in the right direction although seemed to have slowed up.

ECM Messages

In terms of messages from the Police platform of ECM the system shows that:

December 2017

33 Messages – Created 55,298 Alerts

January 2018

36 Messages – Created 48,426 Alerts

February 2018

18Messages – Created 12,176Alerts

Total over 3 months – 88- Messages –116,112Alerts

Over the same 3 months from December 2017 – February 2018the below charts shows where majority of messages were sent in the county

In comparrison in the NHW version of ECM there have been 20 alerts in total over the same period reaching 21,326members. Of these alerts 17 were sent by Me (Jeff Appleby) and 3 sent by NHW members. Most relate to Braintree area of the District. This means over 3 months from December-February - 3 message was sent by trained NHW members. The NHW Portal of ECM is very under used.

Training

Anyone who is having problems with ECM or wants extra tuition then only need to ask and I will help go through it again for anyone but be mindful that I now do ECM as part of another role.

We are looking for new Cadet Leaders so if you have any family members or any of your coordinator who may be suitable and looking to become a cadet leader then let us know.
