Moroso participates in Wanted Design with Diesel Living Collection

NYCxDesign 2015: This year, Moroso will be participating at WantedDesign, Manhattan in the Diesel Living booth. Moroso’s ongoing Diesel collection, first launched in 2009, brings to home furnishings what the renowned brand, Diesel, has brought to fashion: an informal, youthful lifestyle, inspired by edgy music, a creative spirit, and a need to express one’s individuality. Diesel has teamed up with the cutting edge Italian furniture maker, Moroso, to produce sofas, tables, chairs, beds and accessories.

Says Patrizia Moroso, creative director of her namesake brand, “We worked with the Diesel creative team to develop an interesting and alternative collection idea which was to represent two different yet coexisting aspects of certain contemporary trends: one which is darker in tone, inspired by the underground world and with a more aggressive and enigmatic aesthetic, and the other lighter, inspired by nature and a visual radiance, with soft and welcoming shapes.”

Among the Moroso pieces to be shown at the Diesel Living stand at WantedDesign are Longwave, a wingback chair, My Moon My Mirror table and mirror, Perf cabinetry and Rock chair.

My Moon My Mirror

Hanging on the wall or sitting on a base in the center of the room, My Moon My Mirror is your

personal piece of the night sky. The photographic moon image, printed on a mirrored ¼-in. thick by 39 1/4- in. diameter tempered glass surface combines function and fantasy. It can be hung on the wall, or set up on an 11” high tubular steel base.

Longwave

This high back lounge chair creates personal space in home or office. It is made with injected flame retardant polyurethane foam over internal steel frame; steel legs come in Charcoal or Ash Grey; covers in a range of linen, cotton or leathers choices.

Rock

Inspired by the structure of crystals and minerals, Rock chair combines a faceted surface shell with comfortable seating. The shell and legs are of polyurethane, feet are painted wood. The shell comes in black or white.

Diesel Living pieces appearing in the Moroso showroom, but not at WantedDesign:

Perf

Combining the ruggedness of industrial cabinetry with elegant details and unique finishes, Perf has perforated panel doors with double walled sheet metal shell construction and either steel or wood top. Both a 59 in. wide credenza and 67” by 31 ½ in. wide bar are offered. Door finishes are copper or verdigris; shell is black; internal shelving is wood. Contrasting handles in Diesel red are optional.

Hexxed

A perfect little side companion. Coming in 2 heights and three color combinations. The steel hexagonal bases are powder coated in Vintage Copper, Polished Copper and Matt Black finishes with white or black marble tops.
