Classroom Rules/Expectations: BE HERE – BE PREPARED!
- All school rules listed in the Student Handbook apply.
- NO PHONES VISIBLE!
- All students should be in their seats BEFORE the tardy bell rings.
- Do not be tardy.
- The teacher will dismiss the class, not the bell.
- Students will demonstrate respect for others at all times.
- Written or spoken profanity is NOT permitted.
- Students will NOT sleep in class.
- No personal grooming in class.
- Loitering or Standing in the halls between classes is not permitted.
- No Restroom Breaks.15-15 RULE!
- Bring a good attitude and be ready to work!
CLASSWORK/hw Policy:
Classwork/Independent Practice/ hw will be assigned. All work will be done on notebook paper and written in pencil. To receive credit, all work must be shown. Failure to turn in homework will result in a 0. NO LATE HOMEWORK ACCEPTED!!
Calculator Policy:
Each student will be issued a school calculator to use throughout the year in class(unless the student provides his/her own). If it should become damaged or lost, the student will be assessed a fee to replace the calculator.
Grading Policy:
40 % Major Grades (Unit exams; 2-3 per grading period)
50 % Minor Grades (quizzes, classwork assignments; 6-10 per grading period)
10% Homework, Participation (6-10 per grading period)
Late Work Policy:
NO LATE HOMEWORK ACCEPTED. Students will get one chance to make up a minor grade assignment. The highest you can make is a 75. Any work not turned in on time will be made up during assigned tutorials.
Make Up Work Policy:
Students have one day per day missed to turn in homework. Missed tests or quizzes should be made up according to teacher, during tutorials or by appointment. Anything not made up in the allotted time will be posted as a zero. Any student absent for a school-related activity must get the assignment BEFORE the missed day. The assignment must be turned in when the student returns to school unless arrangements are made with the teacher.

I will try send out text reminders often about a test, quiz, or homework assignment. These are text messages that you will get, but cannot respond to.

Class Participation:
BELL WORK/Warm-ups will be given to review previous material or to introduce new material. You are required to do the warm-ups and keep them in your binder. When learning new concepts in class you will be required to take notes.
