Welcome to 40 Turner Drive
We are glad you have chosen to stay at our place. Here are few things that will help you enjoy your stay.
Garbage and Recycling
There are brown wooden garbage bins and blue and green recycling bins just up the sidewalk in front of condo 36. Garbage is collected just after 8pm. Please do not place garbage in bins after 8pm.
Wood is available in the shed at the top of the hill for use in the fireplace. You a responsible to make sure you know how to safely start a fire, open the flue and extinguish the fire before you leave or go to sleep. You are responsible to clean out the fireplace ashes before you leave using disposable materials. Do not use the broom that is used for cleaning floors. Failure to clean out the fireplace will result in additional charges against your security deposit.
Laundry
Used sheets and towels should be left in front of the washing machine when you leave.
WiFi
At this time we do NOT offer wifi. Many of our guests have appreciated the opportunity to unplug for the time they are here. Some of our guests have mentioned that they were able to get wifi in the hotel lobby/bar.
Water
The water is turned off between guests to ensure that any leaks leave minimal damage. Please be courteous by turning the water off so you are not responsible for any damages.
Heat/AC
Please help us keep rental costs low by turning down the heat to 55 when you leave. Thank you.
Outdoor Pool
In the summer months condo users are allowed to use the outdoor pool at the hotel. You get there by taking the stairs from the tennis courts up to the hotel.
Groceries
When you arrived off highway 11 you probably noticed a Walmart and Independent as you got on to highway 60. There is also a Metro, liquor store, beer store, Winner’s, Staples, Canadian Tire, Sportcheck, Shoppers Drug Mart and various restaurants and other shops closer to downtown. To get to downtown you would head back on highway 60 towards town and turn left at the main lights at King William.
Hospital
The Huntsville Hospital is approximately 10 minutes away. Head back into town and take a right at the lights onto Hwy 3 (at the lights just past Tim Hortons and Source for Sports) and take the first left onto Frank Miller Drive.
Supplies
We do our best to provide enough supplies for our guests and plan ahead. Sometimes guests use more than we had anticipated. If you find you run out please be courteous and let us know so we can prepare for our next guests.
Smoke Detectors
Please do not remove batteries from smoke detectors.
BBQ
There is a shared BBQ available for your use in front of condo 31. Please be courteous and clean it when you are done and put the cover back on when it cools down.
When You Leave
Please take any food or drink with you. The fridge and cupboards should empty when you leave.
Please leave things where you found them.
Please let me know if we are low on any supplies.
Please turn off water and A/C- Heat(down to 55 in Winter)
Please ensure all windows and doors are secured.
Preparing for your stay
We hope you are looking forward to your stay at our condo. Here are some things that you might need to pack.
Our kitchen is fully stocked with all your basic needs.
Blankets and towels are provided.
There are a few games and books available for rainy days.
A TV with basic cable and a DVD player are provided. Please bring DVDs.
There are shared sand toys on the condo owner’s beach in a deck box. Please feel free to use these and return them when you are done. You are responsible to help keep the beach neat and tidy.
Nights can be chilly and buggy. Please dress accordingly and bring bug spray.
