Technology Update

New Resources

NC DPI is working with ARCC/Edvantia to explore technology resources which will provide us with tools for delivering virtual SIOP training and support as well as space for storage of archives and other materials.

We would like to invite you to attend a demonstration of several tools we are considering - AnyMeeting, Banckle, Edmodo – on Tuesday, September 13 from 3:45 – 5:15 pm. Participants will need access to a computer with headphones and microphone in order to participate fully in the demonstration.

Please send an email to Ivanna at if you are interested in participating in this demonstration opportunity. Please write SIOP Demo Participationin the subject line of your email and state “I’m in!” in the body.

SIOP Implementation Plan Webinar

The webinar given Friday, June 17 is posted on the ESL web site at . We understand that the archive is not working consistently across the state and are working to resolve the issue. If the archive does play for you and you are willing to transcribe the key points of discussion, we would all be grateful! Please communicate with Ivanna if you are able to provide this service.

Teacher Studio (TS)

Version 2 of TS has been released with many of the changes and upgrades WE suggested! Check it out at . You can click on “Take a Tour” at the bottom of the page for an introduction to all the changes!

If your email has changed or you have people you are coaching who need to be signed up for the site, please contact Kelly Pounds at . For new accounts include the person’s first name, last name and email address and tell her they are part of the NC SIOP Team!
