After School Clubs

There are a few spaces left in the after school clubs. Please see the office to book as places are filling up fast.

Homework

This year as last year, children will need to read three times a week; Monday, Wednesday and Friday. They will also be given a mental maths skills to practice each week, and additionally they will have a weekly phonics/spelling test. There will no longer be a separate maths task set as practicing mental maths is a more helpful way for families to support children’s mathematical development.

Attendance

We are aiming for all children to have attendance between 97% – 100% by the end of the academic year this year! Please remember that holidays will not be authorised outside of term time. Please see the website for term dates. Where attendance falls below 95%, a meeting will be made with the Headteacher. Parents must call the office before 9am if their child is late or ill. Children need to be in school by 8:45 every morning. Gates open at 8:20.

Invoicing for clubs

Please can parents make sure they Stay and Play invoices are paid by the end of the following calendar month. If payment is not made to that deadline then Stay and Play access will be frozen until accounts are up to date.

Reading volunteers

We are thrilled that more parents have signed up to volunteer to hear children read. If you are keen to help, please let the office staff know.
