FLUFFY TEA BISCUTS
12 oz ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
4 oz CAKE FLOUR
1.5 oz GRANULATED SUGAR
¼ OZ SALT
1 OZ BAKING POWDER
5 oz SHORTENING
2 ea WHOLE EGGS
8 oz MILK
PROCEDURE
Weigh out all ingredients before starting recipe !!
Mix all dry ingredients together then add shortening. Rub shortening and dry ingredients together between hands until marble size pieces are formed.
Mix eggs and milk together and pour into flour mixture, mix together by hand (do not over mix)
Pour mixture onto well floured table and pat out by hand until dough is about 1 inch thick.
Using a biscuit cutter cut biscuits and place on a sheet pan keeping biscuits next to each other.
Bake for 20-25 minutes at 350 or until lightly browned
Take out of oven and brush lightly with butter
Option: Brush Biscuits with buttermilk before placing in oven
