The Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Jurupa Area Recreation and Park District was called to order byPresident Robert M. Hernandez at 7:37P.M. on Thursday, August14, 2008 at the Jurupa Community Center, 4810 Pedley Road, Riverside, California.

5.1NOTIFICATION AND REQUEST FOR SIGNATURE OF THE JURUPA AREA RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT ET AL FROM THE SUNCAL EMERALD MEADOWS LLC FOR THE PURPOSES OF RECOGNIZING THE NOTICE OF INTENT TO TRANSFER AND THE ASSIGNMENT AND ASSUMPTION AGREEMENT
M/S/A 5-0:Schmidt/Hernandez moved to table item 5.1 until clarification and further information is provided.
5.2PROPOSAL FROM CLUB AMIGOS DE SAN JUAN FOR THE USE OF THE RICK THOMPSON ARENA FOR AN EQUESTRIAN SHOW
M/S/A 5-0:Hancock/Schmidt moved to approve the proposal from the Club Amigos De San Juan for the use of the Rick Thompson Arena for an equestrian show and authorize the General Manager to monitor the filing of all required documents with the Park District.
The Board of Directors went into Closed Session at 8:05 p.m. and called the meeting back to order at 9:40 p.m.

- CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL – POTENTIAL LITIGATION
Significant exposure to litigation pursuant to subdivision (b) of Section 54956.9: (1 potential case) Jurupa Community Services District
No Motion(s). Direction was given to the District’s Attorney.
5.3ACTION REGARDING ACCEPTANCE OF BIDS FOR BULL PENS TO BE INSTALLED AT HARVEY FIELD AND WHITE VINYL FENCING TO BE INSTALLED AT AGATE PARK
M/S/A 5-0:Riddle/Hernandez moved to table this item until the next board meeting.

At 10:00 p.m. Board Member Brad Hancock excused himself from the board meeting.
5.4ACTION ITEM REGARDING ACCEPTANCE OF BID FROM ELECTRICAL LIGHTING AT JURUPA COMMUNITY PARKING LOT
M/S/A 4-0:Riddle/Schmidt moved to not accept anymore bids that does not meet District Standards and table this agenda item.
