WEEKLY TRANSPORT TO & FROM YANCO
The following information is provided for families with students who are weekly boarders.
To be eligible for the conveyance subsidy, parents should put a ‘W’ in the Boarder (weekly) square on the “School Student Transport Scheme” Form. The distances and all other details need to be filled in as well.
To receive reimbursement for your child/children’s weekly travel, parents must include these trips on their “Application for Conveyance Subsidy, Diary Sheets” (which you must hand in to the school at the end of Terms 2 and 4). You claim the distance from HOME to SCHOOL when claiming for any of these weekly bus runs.
Parents are eligible for the subsidy if they use a bus service provided by a private operator because there is no other transport available aside from private vehicles.
If there is no form of public or government subsidised transport to get the student from home to school the subsidy can be applied for.The same subsidy arrangement applies as set out above and parents are able to apply for the subsidy on the basis that there is no alternative to private transport.
Parents will be invoiced on their Term accounts for permanent weekly travelers only.You will be billed for your child’s seat for each week even if they do not travel one week this guarantees their seat on the bus for the Term.
ALL CASUAL WEEKLY TRAVELLERS WILL NEED TO PAY CASH DIRECT TO BUS DRIVER WHEN BOARDING THE BUS.Seats are limited for casual travelers
THE BELOW TIMETABLE PROVIDES THE DEPARTURES TIMES THAT BUSES LEAVE THESE STOPS.
PLEASE INSURE THAT YOUR CHILD IS THERE 15 MIN BEFORE AS OUR BUSES CANNOT AFFORD TOBE WAITING AROUND 5 MINS FOR LATE ARRIVALS.

Mahoney’s Bus Lines provides a private bus service each Monday and Friday from the T-Intersection this may be the best pick up/drop off point for students from Temora.
