Math:Students will continue with dividing by using 7s, 8s, and 9s. We will also be working on two step word problems.

Example:

Ryan gave 7 of his model cars to a friend. Then he bought 6 more cars. Now Ryan has 13 cars. How many cars did Ryan start out with?

Continue to study multiplication facts.

Science:States of Matter

1. The three states of matter are solids, liquids, and gases.

2. In solids particles are packed tightly.

3. In liquids particles are held together less tightly.

4. In gases particles move about freely.

​7.Gases move freely and take up the space of their container.

8. When water freezes it changes from a liquid to a solid.

9. When ice melts it changes from a solid to a liquid.

Social Studies:Principles of Our Government

1. In a republic, citizens have the power to vote to elect leaders.

2. A citizen is an official member of a country.

3. In a democracy, the power of the government comes from the support of the people.

4. A principle is an idea or belief.

5. Some of the principles that guide our government are in the Declaration of Independence.

6. Sovereignty means the right to rule.

7. The Declaration of Independence says that "all men are created equal."

8. The Declaration of Independence says everyone is born with rights that are self-evident, or require no proof.

9. The Declaration of Independence says no one can take away your rights, they are unalienable.

10. Liberty is the freedom to govern oneself.

11. American leaders met in 1787 and created the Constitution.

12. The Constitution has an introduction called the Preamble, which explains why it was written.

13. The Constitution was written to help Americans establish and run their government.

14. The main sections of the Constitution describe how our government works and how leaders are elected.

15. The first ten amendments to the Constitution are called the Bill of Rights.
