Students will receive their Book Project Presentation Form and their Book Project Grading Rubric. [You can check the Book Project form for all requirements, due dates and grading rubric. (Copies are in student’s FOCUS assignment and on my lemonbay.com teacher web page)].
Group presentation and discussion about both forms. Students will individually be asked about ideas they have. What book they think they may read. They will each be asked to give one question about/or verification of the expectations for the Book Project.
Opportunity to go to Media Center to check out book. / Do Now (will discuss privately with each student)
Review of yesterday’s presentation and discussion. Students will write deadlines in their planners.
Students will have the opportunity to work together to come up with ideas and research examples.

Students will work individually and/or in small groups on their book projects.
Individual meetings with teacher to discuss their books, ideas about their project, what they need to do, goal setting for book project and other questions that come up from the students. / No DoNow – in Computer Lab
Students will watch a video on three parts of the FSA Standards within Language and Editing.
They will then have questions to answer. The questions are about the same skill they just viewed in the video.
Students will have an opportunity to redo the missed questions to improve their scores.

Students will be given independent time to read their books for their book projects. They should use this time to write in their Active Reading Journals. (First one is due next Friday).
During this time, teacher will meet individually with each student to discuss their 1st 1/4 and set goals for their second 1/4, and first semester.
Students will have an opportunity to use the computers in class. They will also have the opportunity to use the Media Center.
