Dear <name>,
On behalf of the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) and the Texas Funeral Directors Association, I cordially invite you to participate in two extraordinary opportunities: a webcast on Monday, October 21, 2013, and the NFDA International Convention & Expo on October 23, 2013, at the Austin Convention Center.
On October 21, 1-3p.m. CT, an all-star panel of experts including Dr. Robert Friedman, Dr. Thomas Long, Thomas Lynch, and Dr. Alan Wolfelt will present a free webcast, End of Life Care: From One Set of Caring Arms to Another. These noted experts will share insights into how hospice professionals, funeral directors, members of the clergy and grief counselors can better work together to support those at the end of life.
For the first time ever, NFDA is also encouraging hospice professionals to be a part of their convention. As an invited guest, you can attend select educational sessions offered for all caregivers, network with like-minded professionals and visit world’s largest funeral service expo at no cost.
The educational sessions range from care for the caregiver to a motivational speaker – a Texan of course - who is lots of fun. You will also have a unique opportunity to participate in a special speaking engagement featuring Dr. Thomas Long, Bandy Professor of Preaching at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and Thomas Lynch, writer and funeral director from Milford, MI, who will share insights about the importance of rituals and funerals in our culture.
On the expo floor, you will see products and services funeral directors use every day to create meaningful funerals and memorial events for families and friends.
I have enclosed flyers with additional details about how to log onto the webcast on October 21 and how to register for convention.
I hope you will join fellow caregivers at the convention as we come together to build a greater sense of community and expand our knowledge to assist those at the end-of-life.
Whether or not you’re able to participate in the webinar or the NFDA convention, I would very much enjoy meeting with you to explore how we work together to assist people in our community on their end-of-life journey. If you have any questions, please call me at <Phone Number>.
Thank you for your compassionate contributions as part of the continuum of care to the dying and bereaved in our mutual communities. Let’s come together in Austin.
Respectfully,
<Your Name>
