Qualitative Data Summary:
- Students want healthier options
- Students want options that take into consideration food allergies (wheat, gluten free, peanut butter, etc.)
- Regarding variety – the same food all of the time gets boring
- Students want the ingredients of each menu item listed (for example, if a cheeseburger comes with lettuce, tomato, and onions it should say that especially for people with food allergies)
Menu Suggestions/Improvements:
- More variety of soups, sandwiches, drinks, desserts (more to choose from/more options)
- Food options that are NOT fried
- Different weekly specials (repetition gets boring, more variety)
- Low carb, low fat, higher protein, vegetarian options other than just salad
- Wheat/gluten free pasta (as substitute to white) and wheat/gluten free bread substitutes
- Change menu a couple of times throughout semester for variety and so people don’t get bored
- All ingredients should be expressed on Webfood (for people with certain food allergies)
- Build your own sandwich/wrap
- Build your own pasta dish (pick pasta, pick sauce, pick meat to add)
- Fresh fruit
- Ice tea, bottled water, apple juice, orange juice, coffee (for free!), gatorade
