Experience / Independent Consultant
Diversified food services company / Web Publishing Support for client’s redesign of company intranet. Designed pages, published content and provided training and testing of the site. Built tracking mechanism using Excel and Access to manage implementation of more than 300 pages.
Digital Asset LibraryDesigned and implemented a library of images used on the Internet, Intranet and in published material. Provided testing and training including development of training materials. Library was developed using Opentext’s Livelink for Document Management
Business Process Re-engineeringDeveloped content management process and workflow for publishing content to the client’s intranet. The process and workflows were then implemented using Interwoven’s Content Management product. Provided testing, training and on-going support. Coordinated the testing, training and implementation between the business unit and IS.
SAP R3 Materials ManagementThis implementation was a migration from McCormick & Dodge to Materials Management within SAP-R3. Functioned as the business team leader for testing and training anddelivered the training to the business users. Coordinated the resolution of production problems between IS and the business unit.
SAP Supplier Relationship ManagementThis software product is part of an on-line sourcing toolthat allows the buyers to create web-based RFIs and RFPs and send email notification for intent to respond to multiple qualified vendors. The vendors who choose to participate create their individual electronic proposals. The system supports business rules such as closed bidding. Each proposal is scored electronically and is used in determining who should be awarded the bid. Functioned as the business team leader. Developedtest plans, test scripts and performed all tests. Coordinated problem resolution with the vendor. Developed and delivered hands-on training for both the business users and the vendors. Provided on-going support to both businessusers and vendors.
Document Management LivelinkDesigned and implemented a document repository to support consistent messages on a given topic regardless of the audience. Design including developing categories for use when searching for documents. Also designed, developed and documented the business process including the records management scheme and associated workflows.
Business Process EngineeringDeveloped workflows for procurement of promotional items for catalogs, forecasting and the fleet management process.
MS Access-based Tracking ApplicationsDeveloped a series of applications that track status of correspondence with executives, status of content created for intranet and internet and departmental budgets.
CRM Peoplesoft Business analyst responsible for testing and implementation of CRM system for internal CallCenter. The system tracked all the calls that came into the center, provided scripts for the representatives and contained a customized library for correspondence.
Pearson Publishing / Business Process Engineering Designed a workflow application using an Outlook Form and Public Folders to allow various groups to processa request for an ISBN number. This number is the unique identifier for a book. The number is used to track the costs associated with publication and identifies it externally. Using this business process the workgroups were able to completely eliminate the need to fax documents and were able to handle a significant increase in volume.
JP Morgan Chase / Project Managerresponsible for delivering the infrastructure required to support Chase Manhattan’s pilot NT, client/server Trading System. The integration, testing and implementation was successfully completed in six months
NYCE / Program ManagerNew product development for a Home banking custom system IVR and PC based. Product supported on-line access from a PC and a touch tone phone.
Employment / Vice President – Merrill Lynch
Division Quality Manger Responsible for a re-engineering effort for the Telecommunications Division that focused on improving the reliability, timeliness, and accuracy of service delivery to the various business unit which included Capital Markets and Retail Clients.
Project Managerfor development and implementation of Branch Office Market Data System. This system included the purchase of workstations and servers for more than 650 branches offices. The project also included building of a network from the branch office to regional sites that were hubs for broadcasting the market data via a satellite network and the interface to business applications. This project was undertaken by a large cross functional team. The vendor for the system was a joint venture between IBM and Merrill Lynch.
Project Manager for testing and implementation of Main Order Processing System. This system linked the various internal order processing systems to the floors of the exchanges. The architecture of the system was to provide guaranteed delivery for all messages. This meant no message could be lost. A given message could represent an order with a very high dollar value. The system was fault tolerant with redundancy for the hardware, network and software.
