Weathering vs. Erosion Project
The purpose of this activity is for students to demonstrate their understanding of weathering and erosion. Students will design and create a project that demonstrates their understanding of each of the following:
- Definition of weathering
- Describe the 2 types of weathering and provide at least 2 examples of each along with descriptions.
- Definition of erosion
- Agents (wind, water, ice) that cause erosion and explanation of how they cause erosion.
- 3 Examples of landforms that have been changed through weathering and erosion and how.
- Grand Canyon
- Mammoth Caves
- Amazon River
- Sahara Desert
- Ways to prevent weathering and erosion.
Students may create any of the following projects listed below.
- PowerPoint
- Create a minimum 10 slide PowerPoint.
- Must include Title slide and bibliography (resources).
- Must include pictures and descriptions of information required from above.
- Brochure
- Must be a three way fold brochure.
- Must include information from above.
- Directions for a brochure are located on my webpage.
