Training Programme Course
Khuthaza Strategic Development is an accredited education and training provider by Health and Welfare Seta since 2006. More than 1300 social auxiliary workers have obtained this qualification through our institution. We are now offering several qualifications and skills programmes
TRAINING PROGRAMMES THAT WE ACCREDITED TO OFFER:
- FETC in Social Auxiliary Work Level 4.
- FETC in Child and Youth Care Level 4.
- FETC in Counselling Level 4.
- FETC in Victim Empowerment & Co-ordination Level 4
- NC in Victim Empowerment & Support Level 2
- NC in Community Health Care Level 2
- GETC in Ancillary Health Care Level 1
We also provide skills programme/short courses that are aligned for the
above-mentioned NQF level programmes.
These courses provide knowledge and skills for learners to be effective and efficient workers in health and social development sector.
Entrance Criteria:
- Learners for level 4 must have a senior certificate (grade 12)
- Level 2 need to have level 1 education qualification.
Duration of the Course: 1 year: Skills programme starts from: 3 months
Course intake: Twice per year- January and June

Skills programme
Community Health Promoter/ Home based Carer
NQF level 2: 26 credits
Fees: R4000.00
The community health care giver provides basic health care services at a primary level. These basic services range from providingpatient basic care services such as bathing, massaging, social, nutritional support and community mobilisation and health promotion. The care giver works under guidance of a professional health worker. The health worker can be a doctor, nurse, physiotherapist, psychologist, etc. This can be your career pathway to be a professional health worker one day.
Requirements:
Reading and writing skills. Have love and interest in people.
Although no specific requirements are required, a grade 10 may be necessary for some courses depending on the Level of the qualification.
Training requirements:
The theory entails both theory and clinical practise. The training range from 3 months for skills programme to one year for full qualification.
Skills required
Social and people skills include understanding people and their problems.
Potential Employers
Hospitals, clinics, old age homes, children’s homes, Non-governmental organisations in both public and private practises.
