FBCNA Social Media
In an effort to mainstream and maximize our social media outlets here at FBCNA, please take a moment to read the information below, and help us work together to use the tools we have to get our name and information out to as people as possible. We understand that there are many of you who do not understand or use these social media outlets, but there are MANY that do, and we have some talented people who can use them to reach more people and get out name and info out to the community. Often times, we are getting info for events too late to get good coverage of the event out – for example, Jen often only knows about events/information once the scroll is published.
Basically, ANY TIME you are planning an event of any kind, please fill out the attached form and leave it for Lora in the office. If you would prefer, you can email the information requested on the form to the email addresses listed on the form.
We have several areas that we focus on in regards to media:
- Local news outlets/paper/tv/radio – If Lora has the necessary info and it’s requested, she can get your information to the local free media outlets
- Our website – this is updated regularly by Jen Anderson – info on the website can include audio and video aspects, pictures and picture slideshows, online registration for special events, contact information, event information, links to other sites etc. For example, we post information about our church fairs, family events, scroll, and did an online VBS registration this summer. There is info about Camp, our church staff, upcoming events, and a google calendar which lists meetings, events and more.
- Facebook – we have a main church facebook page, a church group page, group pages for several church groups, a main Camp page, an Alumni/Booster page and a camp group page. We can create “events” which people on facebook can share with friends to get the word out. We are asking that you contact either Lora in the office or Jen Anderson to create ALL events so they can be put under the proper pages – this helps get our name shared more.
- Twitter – being developed as our following grows. It is currently less helpful than facebook at this time, but it is used. Contact Jen for more info if you are interested.

Finally, please use the form for events even if the events are far ahead in the future, or you don’t think the event needs a form – the form will also be used to help Lora add “regular” events to the church calendar easier than just using scroll info.
