EBA has held a meeting with a Pakistani Delegation “Gujrat Chamber of Commerce & Industry on Sunday, 23rd of April 2017 at EBA Premises. It was headed by Mr. Mohamed Youssef the Executive Director of Egyptian Businessmen’s Association, Sheikh Abrar Saeed the President of Gujrat Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Mr. Mahmood Akhtar MahmoodCounsellor, Embassy of Pakistan,Cairo.
Mr. Mohamed Youssef Started with a brief introduction about Pakistan as it is one of the major powers controlling the world representing the Islamic countries. He also gave an introductory on Egyptian Businessmen’s Association and its achievements in the Egyptian economy in cooperation of the private sectors and its role. The discussion began with the business opportunities in Egypt and importance of the cooperation between the government and the private sector.
Sheikh Abrar Saeedsaid that the Gujrat Chamber of Commerce & Industry was established since 1993. He spotted on the wide market of investments in Egypt and the different sectors of the Pakistani Delegation that can invest in Egypt for instance: SME’s, Supplied food, Wood & Furniture, Leather, Plastic Tires, Electric Fans, Shoes, Pipes, Automotive spare parts, Agriculture and textile. He also stated that the Pakistani products are accepted for the Egyptian market. Additionally he said that a lot of Pakistani investments will be in Egypt especially in the Economic zone “Suez Canal”. Sheikh Abrar is looking forward improvement of economy. Peace and Cooperation is the key of investment in Egypt. He also stated that his delegation needs the Egyptian side to participate and cooperate in order to increase the economy.
Mr. Mahmood Akhtar Mahmood said that the visit of the Gujrat chamber to Egypt is so important to engage the Egyptian side “Private Sector” in order to improve Egypt’s economy.
