SOIL MOVEMENT PERMIT APPLICATIONS

Soil applications were reviewed. Comments were made to the Administrative Officer.

“The following soil movement permit applications were reviewed by the Environmental Commission on September 24, 2008. Comments are listed below.

S. Philip Filippone, Midvale Mountain Road, Bl. 1, Lot 154, BOA Dkt. 1269-08S, amended 7/22/08. We approve the soil movement permit application as long as all appropriate Highlands Council approvals are obtained.

We note that 127 trees will be removed and there will be 32 replacement trees which will be oak and maple. They should be native varieties.

We assume that the trees being removed are from both lots; therefore, there should be an even distribution when the replacement trees are planted.

Mizael Dourado, 105 Eastview Drive, Bl. 11, Lots 31, 32 & 33, E-BD-216-2233 (BOA Dkt. 1242-07), dated 9/12/08. We approve the soil movement permit application with the increase of one replacement trees and after the appropriate Highlands Council approvals are obtained.

We note that 29 trees will be removed. The correct number of replacement trees is 8, not 7. We note that the 8 replacement trees will be oak and maple. They should be native varieties.”
