A big thank you to the Altar Society for purchasing the crosses for Betty and Angie, Elonda Davidson for the wonderful decorating of the hall, Doris Walters and Doris Bures for their efforts in the kitchen baking those scrumptious Cinnamon Rolls! From the Pastor’s Desk

One thing that struck me about Pope Francis was how, immediately after his election, he spoke from the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica and simply asked everyone to pray for him. Since then, he has been repeatedly asking us all to pray for him. And we do pray for him, at every Mass. He needs our prayers. And I, likewise, need yours. That is why I was so happy to see your generosity on “Priesthood Sunday,” expressed in so many pledges of prayer. Thank you. Thank you, also, to everyone who worked to make last weekend and the All Saints’ Day celebrations beautiful and fun.

Please note that I will be taking a few days of vacation to visit my brother in Hudson, Wisconsin, this week. My train departs on Sunday evening and I will return Friday morning. That means our weekday Masses have been cancelled. Elonda will offer Communion Services when she can. Please see the schedule for details. I apologize for the inconvenience. I hope to see some of my family before the busy-ness of Advent set in.

In conclusion I, like Pope Francis, simply repeat my request. Please, pray for me, that I may be a good and holy priest and pastor. Thank you.
