Parents,

We are looking forward to the upcoming girls basketball season. Below, you will find some general information regarding tryouts, fees and important dates:

Forms:

All players must have a physical completed before they are allowed to participate in tryouts. The form must be signed and turned into the Athletic Department no later than November 9th. This form is located on the website at: www.dchuskie.org. You will find the icon for the form in the middle of the page, click on this to print. If you already have a physical from another fall sport this year then that would be valid to use and will already be on file in the Athletic Department.

If you have any questions, you can have your player go into the Athletic Department at the school and Ms. Jan will be able to assist them.

The registration packet will need to be filled out and turned in in order for your player to tryout. This packet can also be found on the website but under the “registration” tab.

Tryouts:

Tryouts are (3) days and will be held on a Friday, Saturday, and Monday in the North Gym. If your player is interested in trying out then they will need to be at all (3) dates below:

Friday, November 10th: After School 3:15-5:30pm

Saturday, November 11th: 8:00-10:30am

Monday, November 13th: After School 3:00 - 5:30

*Those who have made the teams will be notified in the evening of Monday, November 13th.

Friday, November 17th: 1st Player and Parent and Booster Club Meeting around 6pm

Team Pictures:

Wednesday, November 15th: Team Pictures will be held at 3:15. It is very important that all players that have made a team are present and on time as there is a set schedule that the photographer has and we are only allocated a small time slot. We will get more picture information out at the first meeting.

Fees:

Below, you will find the approximate fees associated with tryouts and making a team:

$185.00: School registration fee and is refundable if not picked for a team

Additional Fees if you make the team include: $300/player. These fees cover team meals, uniforms and player gear.

The Booster Club will be organizing fundraising opportunities to help players offset the fees, we encourage all parents and players to get involved in all fundraisers.

·  Final collection of payment is December 15th.

·  You can pay with cash, check, or credit card.

1st Official Meeting:

The first Booster Club meeting will be Thursday, November 16th. We are asking each player to bring a case of Gatorade or case of a Pepsi product and one case of bulk candy (candy bars etc.) to this meeting. These donated items will be sold in concessions at the games.
